Müllertechnik from Wathlingen - Company history
The company LMB Lorentz Mühlenbau GmbH was founded in 1974 by mill construction engineer Klaus Lorentz as an engineering office in Destedt near Braunschweig. Three years later we moved to Braunschweig. In 1982, the company was transformed into LMB Lorentz Mühlenbau GmbH. After the death of Klaus Lorentz in 1987, his wife Ingrid Lorentz continued to run the company. Inga Weimar-Lorentz and Ulrich Weimar have been working in the company since 1997.
Inga Weimar-Lorentz has been managing director of the company since 2003. The takeover of Pohland Anlagenbau GmbH on January 1, 2004 brought the first change under Inga Weimar-Lorentz.
In the fall of 2009, Lorentz Mühlenbau relocated to Triftweg 12 in Wathlingen, and Pohland Anlagenbau GmbH moved to the same property at the beginning of 2010.
The pipe connection element production, which had been outsourced for many years, was brought back in-house in 2014. Since 2015, we have been a delivery point for technical gases from Nippon Gases, then still Praxair. We have been producing and distributing free-fall mixers, an idea by Paul Lutterberg, since 2020.
The sieve service area was significantly expanded in 2023. The dusty area of frame cleaning and preparation is now spatially separated from clamping and at the same time we were able to increase capacity to 3 Sefar Pneumapp 2 clamping devices.
